A popular local football team is looking to the future after the appointment of a new chairman. Boley Park FC in Lichfield has welcomed John Gallivan as chairman. John has been involved in youth football development for more than two decades in the region, including five years as a Cannock and District manager and one year as a manager of an under-16s Staffordshire county side. Speaking this week, John said: “Boley Park FC is a fantastic club – the ethos of the club remains firmly seated in grassroots football. With a dedicated core of managers and coaches, we pride ourselves on providing development opportunities for players of all abilities and ages in a structured and yet fun environment. “We are working closely with the FA to support the Get Into Football agenda, and we are great advocates of the FA respect campaign aimed to improve conduct on the football park.” The club has opportunities to develop the U8s, U9s and U15s teams.
