Tickets for the Bella Musica! Summer Show at The Gatehouse theatre, Stafford, went on sale this week. For two nights during May the Company present a glamorous, glitzy musical history of the Silver Screen - Movies were Movies. From Jolson to James Bond, Marilyn Monroe to Blues Brothers, this brand new production, has entertainment in abundance for the whole family. Featuring the dancers of the award- winning Studio 5 in Rugeley, there's a host of magical moments. Revisit The Wizard of Oz with Dorothy; Go on the Trail of the Lonesome Pine with Laurel and Hardy and get a glimpse of true glamour with Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend and the Barbra Streisand hit People. For the first time the Society has cleverly combined a performance of song and dance to provide the perfect showcase for some unique talent. The voices in harmony group Bella Musica! feature singers who perform at Lichfield Proms in the Park. Movies Were Movies runs for two nights at the Gatehouse - Thursday and Friday May 15 and 16.
